75 Years of History

Looking Towards the Future

Western Photography Guild is a physique photography studio in Denver, Colorado, USA. It was originally established in 1947 by photographer Don Whitman, one of the original founders of the Mr. Colorado Body Building Contest, along with Lester Workman and Keith Lewin. This contest created a showcase for male physical culture in the Rocky Mountain region. Although models are no longer photographed, high quality prints are still produced from Don’s original large format negatives.

Today Western Photography Guild is operated by Don’s nephew Andy Dimler, with support from other family members. We are committed to offering quality prints of Don Whitman’s amazing work. We invite you to look at some of Don’s images in our gallery. We also have some very interesting articles and interviews in our blog. Thank you for stopping by!
